How far can we walk??????

We will in Vero Beach in a few short weeks. I was curious as to how far down (or up!) the beach we can walk. I would love to wake up early one morning and take a nice long walk while the sun comes up!!!

You can walk as far as your legs will carry you. The Florida shoreline is open to the public. If you head south towards Vero proper you will be walking in more developed areas. (I think there was once a post about someone who walked so far they had to take a bus or a cab back to the resort. This would be harder to do if you went north). If you head North, it gets less developed further up. However, you'd have to go pretty far up.

The sunrise over the ocean is just beautiful. One of my favorite parts of a Vero trip.

I walked both directions while there this past February.

A lot of those are part of the Windsor development -- Celebration for multimillionaires. Pretty nice neighborhood we live in, isnt' it.

Thanks Pam and Beth! We absolutley loved staying at HH last summer, but the one thing I missed is walking right from the resort to the ocean. I want to take full advantage of this when we will be there (VB) in only 11 days!!

I love walking along the Vero shore too. It is so invigorating, and makes for some nice quiet, meditation time too.
