How much time would it take to get to Disneyland? Would there be a shuttle available?? It is WAY cheaper to fly into Ontario than John Wayne!!

Thanks!

Kathy

It's not too far from Disneyland - probably about a 35 minute drive. I can't answer your question about shuttles, but I'm sure they'll have them from there to Disneyland. :sunny:

Depends on traffic...but not far. You would go west on the 10 (which almost always has bad bad traffic at rush hour) to the 57 which will probably take about 20 minutes with light traffic, then go south on the 57 to Katella, probably about 15 minutes. In heavy, rush hour traffic with an accident or breakdown on the side of the road, this could take 2 hours. The 10 doesnt have a car pool lane, the 57 does. Also, the interchange at the 10 to the 57 is a little confusing, as it is also 60. So watch the signs carefully and dont get in the carpool lane until after that. It took me a few times to get that one down. If you know its coming its not hard, you just have to be aware.

If you get to the airport at rush hour then go to breakfast or dinner and relax for a bit first then head out.

The Ontario airport is a nice little airport but you should know that although the car rentals say they are "at" the airport, they have their own terminal and you will have to take a shuttle to get to them, which is a bit of a pain with a lot of luggage. The airport is 2 blocks from Highway 10, and it is easy to navigate from there.

If its a lot cheaper then do it. :thumbsup2

Dont know about a shuttle.

Hi! We flew into the Onterio Airport, it had just had an updating in 2003.

We rented a car so I don't know about Shuttles. I think there was 1 rental car place at the Airport Of course it wasn't ours. And I don't remember which one it was except it wasn't the cheapy one I rented from.

We got to Calif. around 12:30pm afternoon and it seemed like once we found the freeway on ramp it was smooth saleing to DL. It was quick easy and we just read the signs and folled them to DL. When you get off the freeway the road has a different name but soon turns into Katella.

I would Definately recommend this airport to all my friends and family!!

Super shuttle does have shuttles out of there. Try www.supershuttle.com to get a quote. I know its $15 each way from Orange county, which is about 1/2 as far. So I would guess you are looking at over $30 per person.

We have flown into Ontario twice, it saved us a ton of money. Its a nice airport, the quickest security we have ever had, it didn't seem all that crowded. I think it might be used mostly for Fed Ex and the like. We are lucky, my fil picks us up since he lives nearby so I can't comment on shuttles/rental cars. But the last time we landed there it was around 6:00 p.m. and I was bracing for bumper to bumper traffic. Luckily it went really quickly, the traffic seemed to all be going the other way. I think it took just about a half hour to get to the Paradise Pier Hotel. Same deal when we flew out on an early morning flight returning home, manageable traffic, moving right along for us, but much slower going the other direction.
