How far away from DL is the Long Beach Airport

From Mapquest

LGB to Disneyland

Total Estimated Time: 26 minutes
Total Estimated Distance: 19.35 miles

LAX to Disneyland

Total Estimated Time: 38 minutes
Total Estimated Distance: 34.07 miles

I think your chances of hitting traffic are much much greater from LAX,so take that into concideration.
Also, from what I have read, LGB is a small, convienient airport that is much quicker to get in and out off

Not farther away, it's closer and more convenient than LAX. The only one closer to DL is SNA (Santa Ana/John Wayne). And when driving from LGB you don't have to take the freeway if you don't want to.

LAX to DL in 38 minutes? Wow, there would have to be no one else on the road. With traffic, LAX is 1 hour+.

LGB is a great airport. Very small, so no long security lines and no big waits for checked luggage.

LGB is a great airport, so close and small. We never fly into anywhere else. It takes mere minutes to get your luggge and you're on your way. Last time from touch down to the hotel it took 42 minutes total!! Of course our shuttle was there and waiting, but your always at your hotel within an hour!

It takes me 15 minutes on a normal day to get to Disneyland and from my house to LAX where I skid to a stop at the first drop off point is about 15 minutes minimum so 40 would be about right. Also depends which gate you re leaving as you may have to drive around the airport to exit and rental car places are offsite often so that is another factor.

It also depends on if you take the 105 then north to 5 then south on 5 or went way up to the 91 then across which is way longer but not sure if you can get on the 5 form the 105 transfer to the 605.

One of my favorite questions to answer - see this Mapquest map - 13.83 miles if you take Wardlow Road/Ball Road.

mechurchlady: It takes you 15 minutes from Norwalk to Anaheim? Girl, you must be driving a hover car.
It used to take me 12 minutes from Costa Mesa to DL using the carpool lane.

Just did a bunch of research on both airports a while back because our cruise leaves from the LA/LB port. My understanding from the TA is that LGB is much easier to get in and out of all around. From the PP, it looks like it's not too far from DL. LAX would bring all sorts of traffic.

LGB is the BEST! Little outdoor airport - so So Cal. I would NEVER do LAX if I had the option to use LGB - hence, I have only used LGB.

I drive .1 miles to Rosecrans, turn right, drive a couple miles of open road with no traffic except when the auction guys are unloading, the train is crossing or the Catholics are crossing. Hop on the 5 and drive about 9 miles and then half a mile to Mickey and Friends. No hover car just live where I can do 45 mph then 70 on the freeway, lol. The Disney exit is a left turn then up a bridge or one stop at the light. Sunday night I had a flashing red so no wait on the left.

Did I mention that I have been going to DLR since 1960 and driving since 1973? lol, sleep driving if need be.
