How far ahead of trip can I buy citypasses?

How far ahead of our trip can I purchase citypasses? Do they have an expiration? Thanks!

I've noticed the ones for sale right now have to be used by Dec 2012. They haven't put out the 2013 ones yet.

The 2013 product should be available for purchase in mid-November.
