How Far Ahead Do You Need To Order A Cake?

How far ahead do you need to order a special cake for a dinner to be served at a restaurant? We're going to be eating dinner at the GFC and I want to surprise my DH with a cake that night

Cakes need to be ordered at least 48 hours in advance and within 2 weeks of your event.
