how far ahead do the resorts get the reservation info?

i have seen people recommend that if you are a member renting out points, that you can tell your renter to call the resort directly to confirm the reservation info.

how far in advance are they able to do this?

IIRC, regular hotel ressies made through CRO or WDTC don't actually get downloaded to the resort until 5 days prior to check-in.

does anyone have experience with this?

Reservations made staying on points will get the information at the resort as soon as the reservartion is made.

Immediately for reservation confirmation, about 3 days for the room assignment.
