Are the Entertainment rates only available at certain times, or can you book them any time?

We stayed at the Dolphin a couple years ago with a great rate thru Priceline and loved it! My DH would like to stay there again but I'm not sure I want to chance Priceline again, even though I know it still comes up from time to time. Our trip is not until next summer, when will they release the Entertainment rates?

**UPDATE**
I called the other day to book a room at the Dolphin with ET rate and was quoted $162.50/nt for Aug 04. I booked it... Yes, ET rates are out thru Sept 04.

So today I called the Dolphin to get the address to send the check for the deposit. While on the phone I asked for curiosity sake what the price for the Swan would be for the same time. She said that would be a little higher... $162.50, I say, that is the rate I was quoted the other day for the Dolphin. She checks my ressie and she says it should be $147.50 and changes my rate!!!

So I'm pretty happy with the rate I got since I don't qualify for the nurse/teacher/govt. discounts.

I have my trip in April '04 booked with Ent. rate for Swan. I just clicked on the Swan/Dolphin pop-up ad on the main DIS home page and booked thru DU.

A few weeks ago, several people were getting Swan/Dolphin on Hotwire. You may want to check out those threads.

goofyfordisney -- what rate did you get? Do you have to have your entertainment card before booking those rates?

I got $177.00 per night--$191.00 including taxes for the Swan. My dates are 4/09-4/18. The Swan was actually cheaper than the Dolphin for my dates! This is during our Spring break (Easter is on April 11) so it is during peak season.

Just click on the Swan/Dolphin ad on the right side of the DIS home page. You can put in your dates, select the type of discount (Ent. card, teachers, etc.) and it will check availibility and rates for your dates!

Good luck!

I called the Dolphin yesterday and got the Entertainment rate for the end of June 2004. My rate was $165 plus tax ($181 and change) for a standard view room.

Does anyone who has used the entertainment rate at the Dolphin know if they are only for standard rooms. Is there a terrible view to watch out for with standard rooms or is it just hit or miss with booking with this rate? I'm trying to decide if we should ask for a "view room" when we book the rate. Any information would be helpful!

Thanks!!

The price goes up if you want a different view. I don't really plan to be looking out the window much, so I took the lowest rate. There is even a discount on concierge level.

Well, I tried to put my dates in August 7-12, 2004, and it came back with $204 a night. That seems kind of high! It was for the Dolphin and for a standard view. Any thoughts... is it just too early?

Ok, forget the last post... I just decided to call the Dolphin direct and asked about the Entertainment Rate. I was quoted $162.50/night, $181.19 w/tax for standard view. This is for Aug. 2004, the reservationist said they had rates thru Sept.

So anyway.... I booked it! I wanted a reservation that I can pay on. I guess if better rates come out later I can change it. Thanks for you help guys!

I just got my entertainment book for 2004 in the mail today (chicago - south) and swan / dolphin are not listed in my book. But since you guys are getting rates I guess that they are still taking it? Anyone know?
