How Exactly Does MNSSHP Work?

Ok, I’ve read all the posts about what is offered and how FastPass works. What I’ve been still confused by is how the day actually works. We plan on being at MK that day for a regular day, but then how do we “begin” the party or rather, what do we have to do to make sure that we do what we are supposed to in order to gain admission to the party? Will they shuffle us all out of the park? Is there a special queue that we need to go to? Do we need our paper tickets or will our magic bands tell people (I’ve linked the tickets)? Are there special hand-stamps or wristbands to mark us as special? I just don’t want to screw us up or do something wrong.

I haven't gone to MNSSHP but have done MVMCP a few times. We usually have a regular park day at MK before the ticketed event too. They start having CM's make announcements of the park 'shutting down' for their ticketed event close to 6 as that is when they make the normal park goers leave. Since you will already be in the park, almost every CM that we saw had wristbands in their hands which is how they distinguish the ticketed event. I don't remember the exact time we grabbed wristbands but I remember we were coming off of PoTC and we heard the CM at the entrance of the ride say that regular guests will have to start leaving the park and that ticketed guests can grab a band. we just had to show our confirmation and they scanned it.

Cast members will be walking around the park with wrist bands. The party officially starts at 7. Guests with just park tickets will be allowed in beginning at 4. So between 4 and 6 expect crowds to be "coming and going".

So will the CMs begin to scan our MagicBands or do we have to provide paper tickets?

They will scan magic bands. When we have tickets, I always carry them with me. It's not necessary, but I carry "everything" with me.

Bjkandma is correct...
If you are already in the park there will be areas where they will scan your magic band for your MNSSHP tickets and at that point they will put a party band on your wrist. If I remember correctly from last year, the cast members were standing over by Mickey's Philharmagic scanning for tickets and passing out bands. There are other areas around the park as well. Just ask any cast member where to get your band once it gets around 3-4 pm they let us know and we went 3 times last year.

TIP

After you scan your MB and get your bracelet, head over to the front gate bypass area for the big bag of treats to start the party off. You don't have to, but they have a bigger bag of candy and some great photo ops.
