How easy is it to see a Flower Power Concert (Davy Jones)?

I am SO excited (more so than my Mom) to go see Davy Jones!!! My step brother and step mom are less than thrilled so I have a feeling they will be going on Mission Sapce while mom and I see the concert!

Oh Terri, please reconsider. Arlo puts on a wonderful show. Let me tell you, two years ago, me and my in-laws were at Epcot, we had lunch at Japan and just as we were leaving the early show was ablout to begin. So we went in. They so enjoyed it that they insisted we stay and watch the two remaining shows! Each show was different and he even did Alice's Restaurant. His son and daughter also play and sing with him. Please don't prejudge, Arlo is one of the BEST acts scheduled!

I guess we could check him out. We'll be at Epcot all day on Saturday the 4th. It just seemed like all the other groups were people I would really love to see.

We saw both Davy Jones and Eddie Money (can't remember what yr.) I don't remember getting there too far ahead of time (maybe @45 min?) I've always loved Eddie Money and was able to get my picture with him. It is the worst picture ever! (It looks like I am making a disgusting face at him!)

Of course, DD thought I was nuts! (Talk about nuts, you should have seen the women going crazy for Bobby Sherman at Hershey Park!!!) :rotfl2:

Oh Man!
Gonna miss Davy Jones by 1 day :(

LoraJ, do what we do and just add a day. I do have to warn you that can get out of hand though. Last time, by the time we got done adding a day (days) to our itinerary to get in all the shows we wanted to see, we ended up with 16 days. If it had not been for the fact that Chubby Checker was not due for a couple of weeks later we might have done even more. LOL

Slightly Goofy

We've been twice in the last few years and we have never camped out for seats, but we wanted to LISTEN and didn't care if we were close enough to really see. The two that we went to had plenty of seats just 15 to 30 minutes early and there wasn't much to see and you could hear it as you stolled around the area. Having said all that, If a good seat is important to you get there early as you would for everything at Disney.

I was so excited when I found out the flower festival was still going on during the first weekend of our June trip. We saw some great bands the last time we were there. So I checked the schedule to see who is there the last weekend and it's Arlo Guthrie  No offense to any of his fans, but boy was I disappointed!

Terri
I agree...........I wouldn't cross the street to see Arlo, to each his own! But have been to many others and loved them, but I also agree it depends on the act as to how crowded the concerts are. Davy Jones was very accomadating to his fans, with pictures etc. The Commodores were great too, the only one I really hated out of the F&W and F&G festivals was Arlo!!
Eddie Money last Fall was very good also, he was a little out of it but it did not affect his music.
