How early would you show up for an ADR if you really wanted to eat earlier?

I have an ADR for 1900 Park Fare on one of the few nights that MVMCP isn't running for my December trip. Unfortunately it is a little later than I would like because I want to see Spectro and Wishes. My ADR is for 5:55 and Spectro is at 7:00. If I show up at 5 would they make me wait for an hour? Or would 5:30 be better? I tried to change my ADR, but they are booked. I am solo at that point so it is just me, myself and I.

NC B. and I had found our last trip (over a week ago)...most places would not let us in earlier than 20 minutes before ADR time except for Yak and Yeti and Tutto Italia (about an hour earlier in those 2 resteraunts). Last year, we ate at 1900 fare at around 5 pm same day adr and there was a good size check in line.

They may make you wait but there is no harm and trying and you can check out the GF while you are waiting. The gingerbread house should be up in the lobby at that time.

Like said above theres no harm in showing up. Your best bet to get in early may be to go right when they open for Dinner.

I have gone up to an hour early a couple times. I've been seated w/ no problems.

I doesn't hurt to ask. They can't "hit" you, right? ;)

We were in the world last week and had no problem walking up to our dinner ADR's early. I made most of my ADR's for 6:00pm but by 5:00 DH was ready to eat. :goodvibes We were seated early at Spoodles, Chef's de France, Mama Melrose, Tutto Italia and Crystal Palace. :thumbsup2

We were also there last week -granted it was a slow time, but I checked in with Disney Dining several times and was able to change the times on the same day. Many people change ADR's, so try calling and showing up- as the op said they can't hit ya.

The first dinner ADR at Park Fare is 4:45pm, you might get lucky if you show up when they open, especially since it's just you. I showed up 45 minutes early for O'Hana last year because I had the time wrong myself and somehow they seated us in 20 minutes and it was a busy night.

I don't think you would have a problem at all with showing up as early as you want...so many people end up being late for their ADRs that odds are really good you'll be seated immediately.

Thanks for the opinions. With so few nights open for me to see Spectro and Wishes, I don't want to miss them. I was hoping for a regular Wishes on the night of MVMCP, but Disney doesn't have it listed on their calendar.

When I booked ADR's for CM in May, the only thing available for dinner was 9. We didn't want to eat that late. We arrived probably around 7:15 or 7:30. The hostess said we probably wouldn't be seated until close to our ADR time. We took a monorail ride around the loop and were just going to mess around the gift shops. When we got off of the monorail, the pager was going off. So we had good luck! (It was actually the ADR reservation agent that suggested we try going early.)
