How early to make dining rezzies in order to see Fantasic?

Considering either the Sci-Fi Dine-in or HBD for dinner in January but not sure what time to make the rezzies in order to be able to see the 6:30pm Fantasmic! Anyone have suggestions? Park closes at 7pm......

I'd shoot to finish at least 2 hours before show time. Typically, they recommend lining up ~1hr before show time and this will cover any delays (late seating, slow service, etc).

This means, I'd book something in the 3-3:30pm range, so more of a late lunch as it were. Alternatively, it may be worthwhile to book a TS lunch and grab CS for dinner that night.
