How early to arrive for Frozen musical?

Anyone know how early one should line up for the Frozen musical? We are planning on doing the 11:30 showing when we are there next weekend. Also, how early do the doors open and can you eat in line or inside?

Yes, you can eat in line and inside. They have roaming popcorn salespeople outside in the lines and you can ado buy and eat treats and soda inside.

I'll leave the timing answer to someone else as we were in the handicapped entry area and it may be different timing.

A lot of it depends on how important where you sit is. If you want to be in orchestra or mezzanine you have to get a fastpass, and for the first show, you'lol probably need to grab that within the first half hour to maybe an hour after the park opens. It will have a return window on it, and if you want first choice, I would plan on being there 10-15 minutes before the window opens and if it's not open, wait across the street as they wont allow you to line up or crowd the doorway early. Do note, for orch, even if you are the first people in line many people will be in before you as they seat the paid packages, VIP, and handicap before the main line. If you're in the front of mezzanine you should end up first into that section. If you only care about being in the theatre, just show up at least 2 minutes before the end of the fp window, just to be safe.

For standby, I am not sure what time they open the line but all of balcony is now standby. I went last Saturday and got in standby/balcony line about 12:15 for the 130 show and was very near the front. I don't know what time balcony filled up, but once it is full they start standby to fill in empty seats in the lower two sections, which isn't guarenteed.

If you're in the orchestra section I would get there before the window to arrive opens as a pp said. The mezz isn't that big so you can decide how important it is to be at the front of it vs the back. If you want to be at the front of the mezz you still have to arrive before the window opens. We did that the first time. The second time we were also in the mezz and we arrived as the window was closing. We went directly to the far side instead of the middle and were only 2 rows higher than we were when we waited standing in the sun for over an hour.

We saw Frozen last Monday. We needed fastpasses for the second show due to breakfast reservations so we were hanging out at the fastpasses. The second show fastpasses were available a few minutes after 9am. We got orchestra for the second show and got in line shortly after the suggested time to line up (I think about 30 minutes - maybe a bit closer to 20 minutes). The entire front section of the orchestra was filled up, but we were able to get front row of the second section on a side.

If you can get the seats closer to the middle I would highly recommend these seats. Especially if you have little ones. No one is blocking your view and you get to see actors walking from the sides down through the front section of the orchestra onto the stage. It was a great view IMO for this show. A few of us sitting closer to the edge couldn't see the actors on the sides (box seats) - but that is such a small part of the show it didn't bother those people much at all. The front row middle seats were marked off as reserved FYI.

Another FYI unrelated to Frozen - since we were waiting for the second show to open up we tried to meet some characters. The Disney app said the Zootopia characters would be out from 9-9:30 close by. The CM in front of the Pete's Dragon preview said these characters had pretty consistently been 10-15 minutes late for their first meet and greet. We found this to be accurate. I stayed close to the photopass person who said they were there for these characters and once we saw them come out it was easy to get in line - well, there was a bit of a crush from some people to get in line (a bit too excited perhaps - haha) but still pretty easy. We found the Disney app to be either very accurate or completely off for characters on our trip. Overall quite helpful if you or your kids have specific character requests.

Food is allowed both in line and inside the theater. Vendors walk around the theater, prior to the start of the show.

Wow that must be new... we haven't been since December but at that time no food or drinks were allowed inside the theater. Good to know!

Food in the theater is new, introduced with Frozen. The theater remodel also added cup holders.
