How early to arrive at airport?

We are traveling from Providence to Orlando on Southwest , and I am trying to figure out how early we should get to each of these airports to get in the "A" boarding group. I am wondering what others experiences have been.

You can check in online I think 24 hours in advance. I would check the SW website. If you are all on one reservation you can have SW split the reservation so you call can check in online. Then you wouldn't have to get to the airport so early. If you want to do it at the airport get there at least 2 hours early.

I agree with safetymom. If you can checkin online, do that. At 12:01am of the day you're travelling you can checkin. That way you're not stressing to get to PVD to get "A"s. Otherwise I usually arrive at both PVD and MCO 1.5 - 2 hours before departure and I've always managed an "A" - this is through the skycaps or the kiosks.
