How early should I get in line for the bus for Rope Drop?

In the past, I used to get in the bus line to make rope drop one hour to 70 min before park opening. My math was 20 min wait, 25-30 min max trip to the park, get's me there 20 min before official opening minimum which is plenty for "earlier than advertised" early opening. But now I'm reading reports that there are lines to get on the bus and that you might not make it on if you don't get in line 90 min in advance. Is that true?

As a note, I don't care to do the headliner ride in any of the parks. So I'm not looking to get in line for FoP or RoR or anything like that.

Thanks in advance for any tips/experiances!

(Note, asking because I really appreciate even 5 extra min of morning sleep! Lol)

Yes it's true. Maybe not in every case, on every day at every resort. But, in general, getting to the bus stop 90 minutes in advance is good advice if you want to make rope drop one hour to 70 min before park opening.

If you want to be on the very first bus that leaves then you'll have to sacrifice that 5 extra minutes of extra sleep.
