I have a month and a half left and I pulled out my suitcase this weekend. I keep a bag full of my WDW stuff (like ponchos, sunscreen, waistpack, moleskins, etc.) so I wanted to see what else I need to buy. I need to look through my summer clothes and if I need to go shopping.

So, how early do you pull out your suitcases and start packing? :flower:

I usually do it about a week before, otherwise I feel like I don't have enough clothes to wear if they're all packed. ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

I make sure I read, read, read up about two months before(including prowling the boards) to make sure I am aware of all of the little ins and outs. One month before, I usually have a visual in my head as far as what we are going to bring, how many suitcases and everything. I start ironing and putting clothes on the side about two weeks before and finalize our daily budget. I am a sckoach on the anal side :flower: but that's just how I am. When most people get excited, they jump around and shout. I read as much as I can :confused3 !

I'm telling you, this board saved our lives on our Disney trip last year. I have learned and continue to learn so much!

WE start the night before we're going to leave! LOL! We need to wear stuff right up til the last minute! Do the last wash of clothes the day before, too. This time we're leaving March 24 at around 4pm. But we're stopping in Jax overnight. so we'll pack that small bag to take into the Jaz hotel right before we leave.
The other suitcases for WDW we'll pack Wednesday afternoon/night.
we're veteran packers I guess!

Your timing sounds about right to me :)
I also start early, putting things in, taking things out and inventory. When I start packing early, I rarely forget anything.

We're going in November. I already have some glow sticks in the suitcase. LOL I will start packing clothes probably in September or October, whenever it cools down enough here that it's time to put away the kids shorts and my capris. Instead of putting them away I'll just put them in the suitcase.

W're going in about four weeks and I already have our suit cases out and have little odds and ends put insode... glow sticks, ponchos, and swim suites, etc...

I have a list though, that I go over about once a week to make sure I don't need to add or take away anything. I think the week before we go I'll start putting clothes and such in them.

It's just so exciting and makes it feel REAL when this part comes up.

A few months before the trip, I start to pick up the stuff I need to take with me, bathroom travel size stuff, new clothing if any and I up them in one of the spare bedrooms so I can look every now and then to see if I am missing anything then I start to pack a few days before the trip...

we leave may 6th

we are going to start rounding things up either next week or the one after. Since we wont really be into shorts much here by then, we can pack most of them to go

its a way of knowing whether there is anything we need to buy

I start days after making a reservation, as soon as I see something I think I'll need on the holiday it goes straight in the suitcase.

I'm very anal and a total list-maker and hate forgetting something!

:)

I normally pack about 1 to 2 days before I go. It's not that I procrastinate, it's just that I like to do my packing a day or so before I leave so the clothes aren't just sitting in the suitcase for a long time. I feel that if I pack a week ahead of leaving, I more prone then to forget to pack something. Trust me, there's a method to my madness... :)

We don't leave for 39 more days and I started packing in feb :rotfl: it's way too cold here to wear anything I'd pack. Also I make a list of what I've packed, that way I know what i need. The only things left to pack are toiletries. Everyone in my family thinks I nuts:crazy:

What are the glow sticks for? Is it so kids will not get scared on the dark rides?

I start packing clothes a week or two in advance. Everything else: pins, ponchos, etc. gets organized a month or so in advanced. I love the packing and planning aspects to a trip :goodvibes

;) And already started packing. :goodvibes Thought I didn't need any new clothes, as I have an everyday set of clothes and "Disney" set of clothes. However, found a sale at JcPenney web site, so I ordered a "new" outfit! :confused3 Believe me, I have plenty of clotes for my 5 day trip.

We live in Metro-Atlanta and go to WDW 2-3 times a year. With the exception of our clothes, we leave everything packed. If we need it between trips, we know where it is. That way we have everything packed and don't forget to pack anything. In fact, I leave my shaving kit packed with everything except my shave cream and razor and usually "live" out of it between other non-Disney trips anyway.

We leave 7 weeks from today. Over the weekend I started putting a few t-shirts/shorts etc in spare room wardrobe and will add to pile over coming weeks. I will pack a few days before and whittle down the pile as I'm sure I'll have too much in there.

We are leaving the last week of April and have been 3/4 packed for a month. Will finish the last 1/4 the day before we leave.

We leave a month from today and have some of the essentials packed (ponchos/autograph books/pins) and as of today the suitcases are coming down and the summer clothes are headed in! It's far too cold to need them here right now anyways!
