How early do we have to wake up to make a 8:00 am Crystal Palace adr?

If we are staying at AKL and dependent on the bus transportation to get us over to MK, How early do we need to get up to do a pre park opening breakfast? The idea of a castle picture without photo bombers is enticing but we like our sleep. It wouldn't really be worth it if we look half asleep in our castle pic right?

I'd be waiting for the bus at 6:45, or taking a cab at 7:20.

Agree. We allow, at least, an hour (sometimes more) for travel, then just add on time for getting out of bed and ready for the day. I would think up at 6am would be enough time, depending on how long it takes you to get ready.

We had a CP 8 am ressie from AKL-Kidani in April. We were at the bus stop by 7 am and made it no issue. Our target was 6:45 am but we had a couple of slug bugs in our family. It was worth getting up early to be at MK to see the castle and main street with little crowd. Enjoy!

As an fyi Disney suggests you allow 90 minutes to make it to ADRs using their transportation. Shorten that time at your own risk, if you are too late they will either take you as a walk up or not seat you at all. And still charge you the $10 per person no show fee. Usually Disney holds your spot for 15 minutes (but not always), after that, all bets are off.

OP--take a taxi to your ADR. Have it drop you at the Contemporary, and do the 5 minute walk to MK. The taxi only needs to pick you up 35 minutes ahead of time. And you gain an hour of sleep.

I wake up at 5am to wake up, then wake the rest of the family up at 6am. We get ready and roll out about 6:45 in our own car or taxi and get to the gate by 7:30 to get in line.

Better to be early than late.

I am also staying at AKL (next month) and I have breakfast reservations everyday between 8:00 and 9:30 and I will be waking up each day at 5:00. I mean, it all depends on how long it takes you to get ready in the morning. I like to do it at a leisurely pace and give myself an hour and a half to get out of bed, shower, get dressed. Then you have to take into account the walking time to the bus stop, wait time at the bus stop, travel time to get to MK, then walk time to get to the MK entrance and walk to the eatery you have the reservation at. If your ressie was at a resort in the area, then you need to add even more time to take a monorail or boat to get there as well.

In short, you really can't have enough time to get from your resort to your breakfast reservations.

Hi, I am in the same situation but coming from Coronado Springs for an 0800 CP. Are there sidewalks from the Contemporary to MK or are you walking in the street? TIA

There are sidewalks, with one traffic light intersection (there's a crosswalk).

We always have breakfast reservations for 8am. We arrive to the bus stop at 7am and have no problems getting to the park on time. We are usually early.
