how does Walmart handle things

for Black Friday? I've never been...

I never go, but I went into the local Super Walmart today(yesterday now I guess..)for a small turkey, and they had cleared out large sections on the center "aisles" I assume to place the stuff on sale. Its gonna be a fight!

I never go out for Black Friday because I hate the crowds and theres nothing that I have to have or else.

Anyways, they asked the same question on the news today since our Wal Mart is open 24 hours. The reporter said they have large pallets with the "specials" on them wrapped in plastic wrap so you can't take them early. The place the pallets around the store during the day before and then at 5am, a worker cuts off the plastic wrap and the frenzy begins.

I was thinking maybe they do the ticket thing like other stores do - for big purchases?

I dont think so...since they dont close..They used to close here locally, and make people wait outside..but not anymore. I have heard fistfights can break out over stuff..

I did take note, there was not one Wii, PS3, WiiFit, and very few Xbox360 available for purchase on Thanksgiving Day..so I can imagine they are hiding it in the back for the frenzy..

My suggestion, go hang out in Walmart, preferably close to what you want to buy!

ok - plan to be there by 4:30 - but that may be a little late I'm afraid! I'd go earlier but dh needs his beauty sleep! he's gotta work from 8 -8 so draggin him out much earller may be wishful thinking!
