How does this work?

Can anyone tell me how this renting or transferring point thing work?

Here's a hypothetical situation:

March '05 - 50 points

borrow 150 points from 2006

1 week stay for 1 BR villa at BCV end of August '05 costs
252 points

need 52 points

QUESTION: I'm assuming that in this case I would need to do a transfer for the additional points ? How does this work from 1 member to another?

The way I do it is that you deposit $100 to my PayPal account and you give me your member number. I call MS and ask for them to transfer the points to you. Once you confirm that the transfer has gone thru, you email the remainder of the money. At that time the points are your's to do with as you please. MS says to allow 48 hours for a transfer to go thru, but you can often have the points on the same day.
