How does this Spinach Dip recipe sound?

I make a very good spinach artichoke dip. (I cheat a bit on it too)....Pre made spinach dip, can of artichoke hearts, cup of shredded asigo cheese, cup of mozzarella, bread crumbs, handful of romano cheese and a dash of milk. I put that in a cassarole dish and bake it for 30 minutes.

Yesterday, I bought some Pillsbury cressent (sp) rolls and on mistake, I bought the wrong one. Pillsbury now makes one without the separations they call it Recipe Rolls (or something like that).

I was thinking of putting that sheet of dough in a pyrex baking dish, putting the dip on top of that and then baking it all together.

Any thoughts?

I don't know that it would add any value to the dip. What you COULD do is get a brick of cream cheese and wrap the crescent dough around that and bake. That makes a great appetizer. You could add salsa or a fruit chutney to the cream cheese too.

Golfgal, I tend to agree with you about it not adding value to the dip. Now with this cream cheese thingy.....what do you serve it with? It sounds interesting.

I do something similar with a bacon/cheese dip I make. I take the rolls and slice them into little triangles. Then add a large tsp of dip to the center. Fold the ends up to make a little purse and bake. They are yummy! :)

Sorry, I have been busy coughing with this dang cold to get back on here, I serve it with crackers. I had a recipe for a sweet something that you added to the cream cheese but I can't find it any more.

try adding some chopped jalapeno or crushed red pepper flakes... only a little bit..it gives it a nice zing!

Your recipe sounds yummy..enjoy!:santa:

I would probably make it more like a big calazone or something. fold the dough over the dip. Also spread it thin enough or add enough extra veggies that it isn't runny, then just serve slices of it
