How does the water taste onboard? Do I need to bring bottled water?

I drink primarily water all day so wondering how the water on board tastes or if I should plan to bring bottled water.

Tastes completely neutral to me. No funky smells or tastes IMO. We always drink the tap water/water from the fountains (same source) without issue. I don't personally like bottled water because it always tastes a bit musty to me.

I think the filtered water on-board tastes fine. Others disagree and take bottled water.

The water onboard the ships is processed the same as most bottled waters - reverse osmosis and filtered. It's the same water that you can get at the drink stations, and is used for preparing food onboard. It's also the same water that you get at the tap in your room.

As noted, some people do bring their own bottled water, while others don't.

I think the water tastes fine. My mother doesn't and she drank bottled water the whole time (but she won't even drink the tap water at her house).

Maybe psychological, but I do find a very slightly off-putting taste the the cabin tap water. I'll drink it in a pinch, but really prefer to have bottled. I'm also fine with water from the drink stations, which others say is the same water, so....

I drank water the entire cruise including from the tap in the room. Had no problems at all and it tasted fine to me.

Sort of a Coke Versus Pepsi debate. The water on the ship is probably better than what you drink at home, but there are a few that don't like it, or are used to the flavored waters you buy in the store.

I thought it tasted just fine, as is, no taste at all. I brought a few refillable bottles and kept them full and cold in our room fridge. Filled up right in the room sink.

I think it tastes fine and I’m an Evian only kind of person with bottled water 🙈

We drink water from the refill stations. Not sure if it is different from the tap water from the sink. We bring a few reusable bottles and refill them on deck 4 or 13 (on the fantasy) everyday.

We purchased the bottled water a couple of times. We didn’t like the aluminum bottles they were in - the printing came off the bottles and turned several things blue.

The ships’ potable water is all produced onboard, so it’s the same whether from the tap in your stateroom, one of the a refill stations, or a drink dispenser onboard. It’s also the water used to make ice. I drink water from the tap (usually with ice added from the ice bucket in our room that is refilled by our room host at turndown time each evening), in the dining rooms, and on the pool deck. I also drink the sparkling water from the drink dispensers when I want some variety and a bit of carbonation. It all tastes fine to me. I do splurge when we eat in Palo, buying a bottle of Sanpellegrino, the same as I would typically do when dining in a restaurant in Italy (where the water choices are usually plain or with bubbles and there seems to be an assumption you will drink bottled water with your meal along with any other beverage choices).
