How does the Frozen Opening Affect Pre-Rope Drop H & V Breakfast TSMM Dash?

I have booked pre-rope drop breakfast (8:10 am) at Hollywood and Vine hoping to ride TSMM with short Standby wait. However, there is now an opening ceremony with Olaf at the hat on the stage. How does this affect the TSMM Dash from Hollywood and Vine? Will we be held separately from the main gate rope drop crowd near Hollywood and Vine until the ceremony is over, or will we be merged with the main gate crowd in front of the stage? Should we stay on the left or the right of the stage to get to TSMM quicker? If we get to merged with the main gate rope drop crowd, when do they let the crowd in, 8:30/8:45 am? :confused3

Thanks in advance for sharing your invaluable experiences and insights! Have fun planning!! :goodvibes

Not sure if I can post link here:

I will delete the link if this is not allowed.

It seems that DHS lets crowd in at 8:45 am, and we should bear right of the stage if we want to go to TSMM after the opening show.

I am hopping to Epcot in the afternoon, so I cannot try standby in the evening. I plan to be at the gate at 7:45 am hoping to get in earlier for my ADR. Pay for the meal before getting any food; then leave H & V around 8:40 am. I wonder whether the CM would let us merge to the stage area if we get out as the main gate crowd is let in. There seems to be ropes around the H & V area in the pictures. Hope this will work! pixiedust:

if at all possible ask server for check asap, that way when your done eating you can just leave.:)

For EMH the welcome is done twice. Our at least was on July 5th.

We did one rope drop last week. Tsm was pretty filled til we got there. But we were Oaken's Funland bound and that place was a ghost town the first 30 minutes it was opened.

From H&V you can just walk out and merge with the general crowds for the welcome show. Stay to the right to go to TSMM. The rope that you see in the picture on the link is for people not to walk that way but instead go to the hat and go their separate ways from there
But with your ADR at 8:10 it'll be hard to go to TSMM as soon as the park opens. Unless you don't need to meet all the characters at H&V? A regular character meal takes around an hour to see the characters and eat

We got to HS a little later then I like so we were further back from the turnstiles, I'm guessing we arrived around 8:40 ish. It seems like they started letting people in right away, by the time we got to the hat it was packed, but the area to the right (over toward brown derby) wasn't very full. We waited at the rope there and that ended up helping us beat most if the stage crowd when they ended the show and walked the ropes back until they met each other So even though we got to the park relatively late we were some of the first people on TSMM.

Thanks everyone for your info and insights! This is very helpful. DISers rock!!

Another great thread - though the frozen thing probably won't be on when i go next may.

That video of the walk to TSMM gave me the fear - re rope drop crowds - and getting on a few rides sans FP+ in the first 2 hours or so.

I'm planning on rope drop extra magic hours then afternoon FP+
with lunch around 12 and dinner around 5 - any more FP+ ie 4/5 in the evening
on less busy things as theres only really 3 or 4 things with VERY long queues in HS and most parks
