We are going to DLR in 6 weeks
and I'm wondering how the DAS (or whatever the name is currently) works now. We were last there in October 2014, and my DD had a DAS due to her spina bifida. She just had foot surgery in September, so she will be in a wheelchair for this trip because her foot won't be ready for that much walking. I will be in an ECV due to a knee injury. Now my husband (who has to push my DD's wheelchair) has Achilles tendonitis and is having pain walking. Basically, we're a mess!
I know how the wheelchair system works and that they won't give you a DAS with a wheelchair. Do we basically just go to each ride and they will either accommodate us or give us a return time? I am used to taking DD's DAS to a podium and getting a return time when I wasn't going on a ride with them (which is a lot of them due to back and neck problems). Also, can my husband get a DAS so that he won't have to stand during WOC, etc? I know they want you to get a wheelchair or ECV, but he can't due to pushing my daughter. Thanks for any input!
