How does MK work with day guests on MNSSHP days?

We will be visiting MK with APs, I have just realized that we have planned to be there on a MNSSHP day. I see that MK closes at 6:00 and the party starts at 7:00. I had already made dinner resv for Plaza restaurant. How does this all work? We haven't been to the party in years. Do they completely empty out the park before they admit the party people? How do they know who is a day guest and who is a party person? Would we be allowed to stay and watch fireworks, and just not ride rides?

They no longer empty the park, hence the one hour gap to get day guests out.
Party guests get wristbands.
You will not be able to see fireworks.
If your ADR causes you to eat past 7 pm, they have been known to escort you out of the park.

They give wrist bands. If you have a reservation at or before 6, you'll be able to stay for your reservation, but otherwise they usher you out. Party guests can enter at 4.

You cannot stay and watch fireworks. That's part of what the party guests are paying for - special fireworks/shows.
