How does express pass work?

I'm going down to the parks on July 6th and I was thinking of grabbing an express pass, but I have some questions.

1. How much are they?
2. How long do they last? (I plan on going to both aprks multiple times over a period of several days, will I have to buy a new pass each day?"
3. Is it worth it?

You can buy them online (www.universalorlando.com) or at the park. The cost depends on the time of year and they are for one day only. Whether or not it's worth it depends on the time of year and the crowds. You'll be down on a holiday weekend so I would say they are worth it, depending on how many people in your group and the time of day you're there.

You might want to look into getting an on site room for one night. That would give you two full days of unlimited express access. The express pass you buy just gives you one express access for each attraction. If you buy it for both parks for several days, a room would be less expensive.

I would but I've already made my reservations, so thats not an option. And I would need 2 express passes

I read that if you have express pass they are only good for each ride/show one time. This is why we decided to stay onsite. The onsite FOTL is for as many times as you want to ride. Someone correct me if i am wrong.

that is true but i have already booked a room off-site without FOTL. im just scare di wont get to do what i want because of the days im going
