Right now, mine are still in the photo envelopes they come in with the pictures and I just write the date on the outside of the envelope. I hate this method as I have about a kazillion envelopes. I've thought about buying the pages with the negative holders and putting it in an album but I keep thinking I an going to have a kazillion pages of those too. Does anyone have a solution they would care to share? Thanks in advance

I use the 8x10 sleeves in a binder. You're right, I have a kazillion! Usually 1 year fills a binder. It's a hassle to do and I have a tough time finding the sleeves. When I see them at Meijer, I buy all they have! BUT it is a great way to view the negatives w/o touching and I always know where to go for a reprint.
I also store the binders in a safe. In the event anything would happen to our house, I could take out a loan and have reprints made!

If you put your negatives in a fireproof safe make sure it is a MEDIA fireproof safe. There is a big difference between the two. A regular fireproof safe only keeps paper products safe not media like negatives, datatapes, etc.

I use CM's Negcare. From what I understand the negative sleeves and holders you get from the developer are not photo safe. Negcare envelopes and sleeves are so I'm comfortable with that system. It allows me to document what the negatives are so it's easy to go back and find what I'm looking for. Each box holds a lot of negatives, but I suppose it depends on how many pictures you take. lol Good point about the media fireproof safe. Thanks!
