How does DVC work for the new Hawaiian resort?

Hi all, as I came on to the site this evening I saw the advertisment for the new Aluani resort and thought this would be great for me who loves Disney and my DF who would love to visit Hawaii. Will regular guests be allowed to book or will we have to become DVC members? Thanks in advance

If it's anything like BLT then initially it will be DVC only, then eventually open up to the general public.

All DVC resorts can be booked by non-members through CR if there is availability. I think part of Aulani will even have regular hotel rooms.

But even if you couldn't book it as a non-member, you still could rent points and have it reserved through a member.

Aulani is both a DVC resort and a regular hotel - so you will be able to book even if not a DVC member
