How does DP work when you share a room and the other companion comes a day later than you?

I'm afraid my friend will arrive a day later than originally planned with our resort reservation. There's a big difference in air fare cost; so, she's coming a day later. We have the regular DP.

I don't want to cheat, but I'm confused how this will work or will it not work? I have 6 nights of dining and the friend will only have 5 nights actually. Is this possible to do? The resort reservation currently shows 6 nights for both of us?

Do I have to drop the dining plan, which is the free dining promo since we don't have the same number of days?

The room will have 6 night's worth of credits for each of you, based on the start of the reservation. How you use the extra TS, CS, and snack credits are up to the two of you.

You won't be able to each a different number of nights on the Dining Plan. Everyone in the room is on the same plan and her arriving a day later won't change that. You will both still have 6 nights worth of credits. Those credits can be used from check in the first day until midnight of your reservation check out day. They do not need to be used per day so your friend will still have those credits to be used over the duration of the reservation. The credits are allocated per reservation so her extra credits could be used by either of you - or you could even share the TS credit by sharing a TS meal - maybe try out a new restaurant.
