Do the notifications come some time before the day they start to accept bookings?
** Yes they do. They will notify members of the call in date ahead of time.
Do any of the travel agencies, like DU, take names then are willing to do the "ressie" for you when the bookings open?
** No, this can't be done. Since
DVC charters the boat from
DCL , DVC needs to make the reservation.
If anyone has been on a Members Cruise, could you share your experience or link to where to find reviews?
** You asked for a link.
Mark and Mary Gums have great info on their site
http://monorailgreen.info/DVC.html
I've been on the other 2 cruises as well.
The first Cruise was great, There was signs all over along with DVC embedded in items like Ice and watermelon. There was a special offer for those to join the Collectors Society and also get exclusive pins if you joined, along with the figurine that came when you joined.
We got tshirts for our
castaway cay picture and a tea pot and 2 exclusive member cruise pins.
The second cruise was excellent again plenty of DVC signs,
When we got in there were gifts in the room. There were limited pins given each night. Each night also had a theme. My husband and I got to eat dinner with Jim Lewis and Christopher White because we added on points our first night. They also had Chef Gordon and Ducky Williams and Christopher White do talks for us. Jim Lewis also had an event where he had a "interview" and previewed upcoming stuff. Also Art Linkletter was there as well.
If you have any questions and don't mind stopping by our thread, I encourage you to ask there

Also you can Google 2003 DVC member cruise along with 2005 member cruise and read those links as well.
