How doable is a mid-afternoon hotel break at Sheraton Park?

Staying at the Sheraton Park since we were able to stay for free on points. Normally we stay at the DLH or GCH and always take a mid-afternoon break to cool off at the pool and/or take a nap. How doable is this from the Sheraton? Normally we leave the parks around 2 and head back about 6 or 6:30, so even with walking it gives us a good 3 hours if we're at the GCH or DLH.

I don't find the walk to be bad and we have done afternoon breaks while staying there. If you really want to save your feet - though probably not any time - you can catch the bus to or from the Toy Story lot (but I've never personally done this)

very doable.
i stayed there in 2013 and will probably be staying there again in 2017.
of course its going to take longer to get to than DLH or GCH but its very doable.

in the mornings and at night we took the toy story bus but when we went back for a mid day break we walked both ways so i too am not sure about how often the buses run during the day.

Thanks --

I see there's an ART bus that stops right at the Sheraton, but it looks like most people choose to take the Toy Story bus instead. Is that because the Toy Story bus runs more often (and is free)? How much of a walk is it if you take the Toy Story bus? Does the ART bus pick up close to the same place that the Toy Story bus does? Never used either since we've always stayed onsite but I've seen the spot in the parking lot on the way out of the parks where everything seems to pick up.

We won't be using EE but like to arrive 30 minutes before park opening, so in the mornings I was thinking about taking a fairly early ART bus --evidently they run during EE -- and maybe using ART to return as well. Was thinking since I'll already have ART tickets it might make more sense to use ART in the afternoons as well. Or is using Toy Story close enough that I shouldn't spend the $$ on ART? ($15 a day, which I would gladly pay when I'm tired and my feet hurt!)

I haven't stayed at that hotel specifically, but I am familiar with the Travelodge that's right down the street, and as far as the Toy Story Lot shuttles are concerned, I was surprised at how punctual they are. Seriously; I don't think we ever waited longer than a couple moments for one, and I believe they do in fact run all day.

i was not interested in paying $15 a day for ART.
for me the walk across the street and to the bus stop in the toy story parking lot was a breeze.
as a PP stated the buses were always punctual in the early morning (7:30am) and at night when the parks closed.
and the walk between the hotel and the parks was a breeze as well especially when you compare it to the amount of walking you do at WDW just to get from your room to the buses or from the park exit to the buses.

Ok, so I just looked at the map that shows where the Toy Story lot shuttle pickup is in relation to the Sheraton Park and have now answered my own question. It looks like it's really close! I didn't realize how close it was, so I now see the value in taking it instead of paying the $$ for ART, especially considering how punctual it seems to be and considering that ART runs less frequently mid-day.

Thanks for everyone's input. Will report back in a few months on how it worked out!

The toy story parking lot is across the street from the Sheraton and maybe 1 hotel over. It's a very quick walk from your hotel to the toy story lot and the buses and fast and frequent

I have an ap and stay at the Sheraton a couple times a year, last night in fact. We checked in around noon yesterday, walked across the street to the toy story lot, caught a bus (they were lined up), and got to the park. It was a beautiful evening, so we walked back to the hotel, took about 10-15 min max, no little kids in the group. You won't have any problems taking a break, I've even done it before solo when my kids were small.

We have stayed there 2x and the walk from the park to Sheraton Park is very doable.

The pool area there is like a little oasis compared to other off site hotels where the pools are pretty much in the parking lots.....have a wonderful trip!
