We're getting a bit old for the autograph book. Do your older kids have some creative ways to interact w/ the characters that are "baby-ish";) ?

Mine just take a picture, not a big deal. One trip we had them sign a picture frame mat to put the picture in and that was fun and a good keepsake.

They took pictures, but to be completely honest they could not have cared less. My youngest is 5and I don't think we'll even bother doing them anymore. If there was at least good food we might, but I really can't see the point anymore.

we did the crystal palace last year my ds was 10 he was a good sport and I got some of our best photos there. He took photos to show his younger cousins photos of him with pooh. Now I don't take him to princess dinner with his sister as he kept want to go to the bathroom, we did that when he was 8. We are planning on going back to the crystal palace again this year.

My teen nieces and nephew will endure the character meals and allow me to take a few pictures of them. Actually, the girls really enjoy it. My nephew is much quieter and reserved; he really didn't care for Minnie making him stand up at the LTT (years ago) so she could put his arm around him and smack a kiss on his cheek! They're all pretty good sports!

Let me say I was soooo glad when the girls outgrew the autograph phase!!

My fifteen year old son loves character meals eventhough he has gotten pretty shy about meeting some of the characters. He still likes to carry an autograph book around as well. I ask him, "Do you still want me to buy an autograph book this year?" his response is, "Why wouldn't I?" :lmao: He was PAINFULLY shy at Akershus with the princesses, but still wanted their autographs and posed for pictures with them.

My DS 16 and DD 12 at the time (last spring) took pictures with pooh bear, eeyore and tigger at the Animal Kingdom and it was their idea. They have such great memories of the charachters from their younger years that I think it just makes them feel good. :wizard: We had a great time that day and the charachters interacted with them in a fun grown up kind of way (teasing my son about his long hair). They won't wait in long lines anymore though!!

I had to chuckle with this. We were just there for Feb break. It was myself,DH, DS,DS GF and my DD. (Inlaws to but they do not count lol) We went to Chef Mickey's for breakfast for DS's birthday. I have the best pictures of all the kids. They had such a blast. Funny thing about my son is he is a "cool" kid who plays sports, but he LOVES his Disney and doesn't mind showing that other side.
