Okay, so I finally signed up with TGM and I'm sure as many of you were, I'm quite baffled by the whole site. I'm slowly working my way through all the info. But my question is this? How do you actually use it? When you find some interesting info, do you "put" it somewhere in your AVP to reference at a later point? My trip isn't until Oct '07 and I'm sure that'll give me plenty of time to read the whole thing over and over, but I want to know exactly how to put this info into action for my trip. Know what I mean?

a great place to post this question and get lots of informed reponses is over on the TGM forums.

i print off everything that interests me,then i arrange it in a folder in park order/dining order etc. This for me is the best way of sorting through all the great info he gives.
Somehow i find it easier to read sitting on the sofa with a cup of tea!!!!!

I've started a word doc, I copy & paste anything I find that I think i might like to use. I have different pages for each park as well as dining, characters, shows, etc.

That's a good idea. I'm actually finding it a little difficult too. I guess it's a little diff. than I expected it to be.

I just posted in the TGM forums "how am I going to bring all this info with me?" Each ride is probably two printed pages, plus shortcuts, restaurants, etc. Copying and pasting into a word doc, then shrinking and laminating is a great idea!

Only 11 days!!!!!

I was bamboozled <sp> after paying for TGM and checking out the site for the first time. I was expecting more hand holding on planning my trip, versus the mounds of articles that you read through to plan the trip. I'm 8 days away from going now though and like the previous poster I printed all the pertinent articles and have started jotting notes (get Dole Whip in MK) on the papers and seperated by park and day we are going blah blah blah.... so in the end the 18.95 was worth it.

My initial reaction was negative though, so I completely understand what you are feeling. :grouphug:

People really can't give you very detailed information here so you should post on the TGM boards.

I don't know if it is still over there but Stephen had a page set up where you could get 1 page PDF "cheat sheets" of the different TGM touring plans. He also put up in PDF format some information that one user had created that were great general cheat sheets for the parks.

What we did was print the articles that we wanted including the detailed touring plans and ride advice for some attractions. I would just give that a quick scan the night before or morning of going to a park. In the parks I printed out Stephens stuff and actually cut it down to a 5x7 size along with the one page cheat sheet for the park we were going to. That was great for when we started deviating from the plan. It provided just enough info to remind us when to Zig when everyone else was Zagging.

BTW that is the essence of the TGM philosophy. It isn't a rigid do this, then that type of a plan but one that once you understand the general outline and the "why" you can adjust and adapt on the fly.
