How do you store pan/pot lids?

So I'm in the middle of a major kitchen re-organization. I have emptied all cabinets, and hutches. I have thrown stuff away that was either broken or missing pieces, I have put together a "yard sale" bin and now I'm starting to put everything away.

The problem I have is the lids to my pans. Sadly enough, I don't have much cabinet space and have only one cabinet for ALL of my pans. I've tried putting the lids on the pans then storing them in a single layer. I've tried stacking the pans on top of each other with the lids stacked onto each other. Nothing seems to work for me. I wish I had room to have one of those "lid organizers" but it just doesn't work in my cabinet.

How do you store yours?

Can you dedicate one drawer to the lids?

I personally have my pans hanging on a rack, and my lids in a drawer beside the stove.

We don't have a lot of pan so we just put our in our oven and under our oven there is a drawer fro them

Can you please come and do this to my kitchen? Then, my kids rooms? Oh, heck, my whole house?:rotfl:

We have a drawer under our cooktop that we keep all the pots/pans/lids in. I have seen people use a plate holder thing that holds them up vertically and keep the lids in a cabinet.

I soooo wish I had drawers (like the deeper ones) in my kitchen. I swear when I get new cabinets, I am getting a few of these drawers. That would work so well to put the lids in.

The only drawers I have is the silverware drawer and two on either side of the stove that are about 10-12 inches wide and only like 2 inches deep, just enough to put a couple pot holders in one and extra serving spoons in the other. :sad2:

My stove has a drawer under it, that's where I store the frying pans, pizza pan and all the lids to any pots/pans we have.

The lids to my cookware are stored in the drawer under the oven.

I have entirely too many pots/pans, and while I have a large cabinet dedicated to them, I still stack my pots inside of the largest, with the lids.

Yeah my stove has the drawer underneath too and that's where I keep my cookie sheets and stoneware sheets so there's no room for the lids.

It's no problem at all if lids are placed upside down in its matching pot or pan. Then, I stack from largest to smallest and end up with a small neat pile that's easily stored in a cabinet.

I have a deep drawer in my kitchen where I store my pot's and pan's lids. I saw a tip on Rachael Ray's show earlier this week where she installed metal towel bars inside her cabinet doors. To hang a lid, slide it behind the bar so the knob or handle catches and holds the lid in place. She had two towel bars per cabinet door which held 4-5 lids. It looked great ~ very organized and took up very little space. :goodvibes

Ooohhhh, now that's an idea that might work. I'll have to measure my cabinet and see if I can't get a couple towel bars on it. Thanks!!!
