How do you see Fantasmic and WOC with a scooter?

I have seen both Fantasmic and WOC but his year (dec) we are taking my mom who will be on a scooter. She can not stand all the time for WOC or sit on the ground for Fantasmic. She would need to stay on the scooter. There will be 5 of us total in the party. Was thinking of getting a F! diner package at BB but not sure. Do they have an area for the scooters and wheelchairs where the family can go too or just them? Should we just get a FP for both if there is an area for the scooter?

Thanks

F!: there is a HC viewing area with free FP. Line up in the designated area early and tell the CMs there that you will need the HC viewing area. Posters have reported that they were escorted to the area and had a good view. With the dining packages, your mom will not be allowed to stay on the ECV in the reserved area because she will block the view of other guests seated on the ground. She will probably be escorted to the HC viewing area. The exception would be the RBT Premium Package which has actual table seating on the RBT patio for the first show. She could be seated at a table then.
WOC: there is a HC viewing area (used to be next to the CCR reserved area). Ask CMs about this when you check in for your section. You should be escorted to that area.

Do you know if the whole party (5 total) can sit with her in the HC area with her?

For F!, I think so. For WOC, it depends on how crowded the HC area is on your chosen night. If the HC viewing area is not crowded, then you'll be able to stay with her, seated on the benches if they are open. If the area is needed for other guests, then one of you may stay with her, but the others may be asked to leave or to stand to the side so that the benches can be used for those who need them.
CMs start setting up the WOC area long before the show starts. Be looking for leads (ear piece, clip board, radio, etc.) to ask about this. They should be able to give you up to date information. Since WOC just came back over the weekend, there may have been some changes since last April.

Please report back on your experience with both shows. It will help other DISers looking for the same information! TIA!

I am SO glad that this thread was posted because this is pretty much our exact same scenario for Fantasmic. There's 5 of us going in a week and a half. And right now, I have Hungry Bear dining packages for all of us for Fantasmic! MIL is going with us and she's going to be in a scooter. I assumed that she'd be able to sit in her scooter while we sit on the ground in the Hungry Bear FP section for Fantasmic. Sounds like that won't be the case! There's no way that Grandma will be able to sit on the ground. Hm, I think that we need to rethink some of those plans! Or come up with a plan B.

Are you viewing F! the first night of your trip? If not, go to the HB F! section on your first night to ask CMs there what the options are for you and MIL. Posters have said that the person in their party was escorted to the HC viewing area. They were not allowed to stay on the ECV in the reserved area. Someone (DH?) will be allowed to go with her. People have reported that they had a good view from the HC area -- I'm not sure exactly where it is now. If you find out, please report back.

We have reservations for Fantasmic on our 2nd evening at DL.

I have had a different experience. When in the dining seated area, they simply had me at the back rope. I was allowed to stay on my scooter, and everyone was able to see fine.

I've been in the Fantasmic dinner package areas before when ECV guests are in the same section. The cast members just made them sit at the back of the area (around the strollers) so they wouldnt be blocking anyone. Probably the best seat in the house since everyone in front of them would be seated on the ground.

I think that we'll hedge our bets and get DH & MIL a free FP and still keep our Hungry Bear dinner package reservation. Thanks for this info!

I have observed the same thing, ECVs are at the back of the dining area.

The BB area with 3 ECVs (sorry about the poor quality)

The HC viewing area closer to the water is for guests with dining packages, HC viewing for regular FP is at the back. This was the arrangement prior to the long shutdown, but I will try to confirm this weekend.

This is very good news -- let's hope CMs are being consistent about this. I've read reports in the past about conflicting experiences, especially during peak crowd times. If this is the new "norm," then it's a good thing!

Thank you -- your update will be appreciated!
