How do you remind yourself about what you need from the Supermarket?

So, I had my lists on my phone today, but apparently, I need some kind of reminder to actually stop at the store. :sad2: I met a friend for lunch and then was going to go to Sam's Club, and then get a few more things, at Weis Markets. After Sam's, on the way towards home, I realized about 3 miles passed Weis, that I forgot to stop there! I was too tired to stop and turn around. I'll have to go next week. Meanwhile, at least I won't starve. At Sam's I did get 3 gallons of milk, a huge box of oreos, oranges, bell peppers and 10 lbs of onions. I have proteins in the freezer.

Milk and Oreos... what else do you need? =)

We use the Wunderlist app. We have it on our iPads and also on an android phone. It syncs with all three devices. We are big list people. We have a grocery store list, a Costco list, craft supply list, vacation grocery list, packing list, Christmas idea list, etc., etc. I keep a general ongoing list and click on what we need. When shopping I check each item off and it goes to the general list again. As long as the item is on the list I don't forget it. My only issue is carrying my phone around the grocery store. I wish I had a lanyard or something for my phone.

I use this one. It works really well (it's also my new Disney Park bag). I can still use every function on my phone even when it's in the case.

I tell Siri to remind me. I also use Grocery IQ app on my phone. I like that I can set up multiple stores and make my lists "aisle by aisle". But, obviously that took time to set up and I have to redo it every time the dang store changes things around.

Thanks Bluezy for the cell case/lanyard recommendation. I checked it out and it would work for me. Unfortunately on Amazon.ca (I'm in Canada) the same case is $60. I'll keep watching. They often change/reduce prices.

We have a small white board on our fridge where we write our shopping list. Then before we go to the store, we put the list in the Our Groceries app. We've separated the stores we frequent so we know what we'll need at Costco and what we'll need at Safeway.

Have a list that hangs on the fridge that I write things on as they run out. Then I look at the coupons and the grocery store flyer to see what's on sale that I use and what I have coupons for.

I used the Notes app on my phone and just list things as I need them and the erase each item off as I go through the store. :)

Yikes! It's definitely not worth $60. I'd probably pay up to about $20USD for it, but not more than that. It's a nice case, but not *THAT* nice. :) I hope you can find it cheaper or find something similar for a reasonable price.

ETA: I should say it's not worth more than $20 *to me*. My daughter-in-law paid $40 for the same thing when she bought it about 2 years ago. She uses it when she goes snorkeling. So to her, it's worth $40. I have no intentions of going snorkeling and we don't go to the water parks at Disney. If I did a lot of swimming and needed to keep my phone with me while in the pool, I would probably find it to be worth $40.

I keep notes on my phone too. When we're at the grocery store I then feel compelled to delete each item as it is transferred from the shelf to the cart.

I keep a pad of paper (and pen) near the computer. Look up the grocery ad, write things down and then the next few days add to the list as I see fit. Tear the paper off the pad, throw it in my pocket, grab my purse and head for the supermarket. Been doing it for many many years and it's been pretty successful. :)

Before the ad came out on my e-mail I used the flyer I got in the mail.

Are you guys talking Notes on iPhone? You know you can make them check lists now right?
