How do you receive discount codes/offers/special deals etc

Do you just look for info on here- or do you actually get emails or mail from Disney? If the latter, is there someplace to sign up?

We have not received any special deals/ offers fom Disney. I feel it is because we bought DVC. Anyhow I believe you can call Disney and ASK if there is a code attached to to your name. Many find that there is one for them that they where unaware of. This code results in a discounted room reservation so you may try this approach. Hope you find out you have a code

Lots of DISers also go to the mousesavers website which has all the deals posted and a bunch (including me!) subscribe to the free mousesavers email newsletter that keeps you up to date too

I was pleasantly surprised last year when I called to book a room only reservation for a Christmas visit and the CM told me I had a pin code attached to my name. I got a great deal on a value resort. I have received post cards and e-mails in the past about special deals, but I haven't received anything this year. I just called a couple of days ago to book another Christmas trip this year and there was no code attached to my name, but I was able to use the code available to the general public on my room only reservation. I'm saving $35 a night at CBR resort for a preferred room.
