I don't want to embarass myself when calling for reservations. How is this pronounced?

Thanks.:confused3

It's French for The Cellar, phonetically it sounds kinda like: luh cell-yay
Good luck with the reservations and I hope you get exactly what you want!

Yes, I agree with this. I used to say it with the emphasis on the 'cell' part, but when I called the other night, she pronounced it LE cell-yay, with the main emphasis on the LE part, and then the least emphasis on the 'cell', a little more on the 'yay' part. I've been trying to get a ressie for either of 2 days in mid Nov with no luck, but must keep trying!! Good luck to you, hope you get in:thumbsup2 !

I have to laugh when I call Disney and they have to pronounce French words. Sometimes they don't even know how to say it but they do try hard. I always stop them before they get to my very French last name - 'It's ok, just call me Sheri.' Although I did speak to someone once that was fluent in French which was a nice surprise. When I was at Disneyland Paris, it was so interesting to see how some CM's spoke 3 or 4 and sometimes more languages. Enjoy Le Cellier!

It's okay, everyone butchers it. I usually say Lay Cell-ee-yay just to make sure that the dining CM's understand.

Funny, I worried about this, too!

So, when I called for ADR's, I made a few and then just said "Oh, and I think there was a nice steak restaurant in Epcot we wanted to try......."

The CM said "Le Cellier"....

I didn't even have to try to pronounce it!!!!

It doesn't matter. I've not seen a single French Canadian server at Le Cellier's.

Couldn't have said it better myself!

To be truly Canadian, you should have written ... luh cell-y-eh.... eh?! :rotfl:

I'm french canadian and the CM don't understand the way I pronoune Le Cellier so, I just say the nice restaurant in the canadian pavillion. Works everytime!!;)

Don't worry about pronouncing it wrong. Every time I called for an ADR, the cast members on the other end said it different each time. And I know for a fact some were dead wrong in their pronunciation! :) They'll know what you mean! haha!
