I have a loaf of cinnamon bread in the oven right now and I would like to make a glaze to drizzle over it. Any suggestions? What do I use, powdered sugar and water? I am cooking challenged, please help!

I eyeball it...put some powered sugar in a glass measuring cup. Add some milk or warm water - about 1 TBL at a time until you get the consistency you want - I also add some vanilla.

Now drizzle from the mouth of the measuring cup - just a little - if it looks too thin for your liking add more powdered sugar.

Thanks! I am a college student on my own for the first time and I know it's too late to call my mom and ask her! I knew someone on the DIS would help me out! :thumbsup2

That sounds good. I haven't made a glaze in a while. Next time, that's what I'm going to do!

Okay, my roommate and I just finished glazing the cinnamon loaf. This was after she made endless fun of me for asking people on a Disney forum for a recipe! It was a little loose, but we kept adding powdered sugar and nothing happened. We added a ton. I think we started out with too much milk. Anyway, we are taking it over to the guys who just moved into the apartment next to us! ;)
