happens? I seem to remember someone posting a site for the Registry of Deeds that you can check but I can't seem to find it? Any other ways to confirm closing?

Thanks
Dennis-

Did you buy direct or resale. If resale - We were notified by the closing company via phone call. I would call them and ask to be notified. Also, our closing was delayed because buyers didn't get their paperwork in as fast as we did so the date they give you isn't always accurate.

If you bought direct, then I can't help you.......yet!

The closing agent should notify you, but they often don't. The closing does not always occur before the scheduled date, because people are sometimes slow in getting their paperwork in to the closing agent. Also, some closing companies are better than others. I would request notification and then recheck as suggested above.

With a direct purchase, the actual closing date doesn't make much difference. You are eligible to book ressies as soon as you give your deposit -- you just can't commence a stay until you've closed. So closing date doesn't come up much on direct purchases from DVC.
