How do you know if you love someone?

For me, I just know when I get that fuzzy feeling in my stomach: When I see them, when I hear their name, when they look at me. He's also one of the first things I think of when I wake up. My day is incomplete without talking to him.

As for friendship love, I know when I love my friends because I'll be able to trust them, and I know they can trust me in return. If I tell them that I'd walk the surface of the sun for them, then I know that I truly do love them as a friend.

Usually when i can't get them out of my head. I constantly think about them and when they are near everything seems at peace but my heart beats faster then normal. When ever little compliment they say is taken with a thank you and a smile instead of a nooooo way. When their hugs make me melt...

Love is a feeling you get deep down inside you that you can't describe. It feels warm and fuzzy and it kind of tickles. Its when he touches you and you feel the warmth on your body. It's when you're in his arms and you never want to leave--- it's where you belong. You could stay there for hours and it wouldn't matter that you were wasting away the day. Its when every second he's on your mind and you can't get him out. He's meant to be there. It's when you'd do anything and everything for him, including taking a speeding bullet and sacrificing yourself. It's when you need him in your life and you feel as though it would crumble without him. And most importantly, I've discovered that love is learning to see an imperfect person perfectly. No matter the tiny flaws, you still love them anyway. It doesn't matter. They could do something that drives you CRAZY, but it doesn't matter because it's HIM. It's when you need him in your life and you feel as though you'd die without him. Love seems like such a simple thing but it's actually very complex. Sex does not equal love. Love is the highest and single most valuable thing in the world and to some people, sex is the highest way of proving love, but people abuse it. What REALLY shows love is when someone doesn't want to and the other person is supportive. Love gives you the fluttery butterflies. When you're with him nothing can go wrong because he's there for you and will let nothing happen to you. He doesn't care what you look like. You're beautiful to him no matter what. And that my dear, is love.

In my expirience I've come to find that you know you love someone when you think about them, literally 24/7 and you feel fuzzy and tingly when you see them. When your phone rings and you know its going to be him, when you just want to spend your entire life laying in his arms, when you're in disney world with your family and all you can think about is him..and how much fun he'd be having there! It's when you'd ditch your family or friends to be with him. (i know the whole chicks before.....thing, but that totally flies out the window when you find true love) When you can survive living an hour away from each other for half the year and everything feels exactly the same when he comes back during the summer. When he goes away to live on campus at university and you're not worried about other girls, because you trust him 100%, when he tells you you're beautiful, and t makes you want to cry because you know, even though you don't believe it, to him it's the absolute truth. When he plays with your hair, when you feel safe to cry in front of each other, when you have secrets, when every love song you hear reminds you of each other (and when songs like, leavin' or lips of an angel totally piss you off!!) when you make up silly games or jokes or languages that only the two of you understand, when you can say I LOVE YOU without a flicker of a doubt, when he's your best friend, when it kills you to even imagine your life without him.

To me, that's how I knew I was in love

I can't really describe it. With John (the guy I'm not really dating, but we exchange expensive gifts and say "I love you"), it's almost a surreal feeling.

I don't get to see him anymore because he moved to North Carolina (as opposed to living 5 minutes down the road in NH...), but every message he sends me on Facebook makes me grin like a fool. I can't get him out of my head. His smile makes me smile and his hugs make the world go away.

I dunno how I knew I loved him, I just...do.
