ONE MONTH TO GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Eeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!! :cool1::banana::banana::woohoo::yay:

I have been good as gold for 9 long (EXCRUCIATINGLY long) months. As a matter of fact, for a couple of months there, I hit a dry spell and wasn't even excited at all (I even wondered if I still wanted to go-- what on Earth was I thinking? Lol).

But now that we have hit our 30 day out mark, I am telling you, I truly don't think I will survive the next month. I am NOT kidding!!! Lol.. I am going INSANE with excitement-- I am literally more excited than my 4 yr old. I have already begun packing (no joke), and I can butterflies in my belly. I am talking about the trip CONSTANTLY-- so much, in fact, that every time I open my mouth about it, my hubby gives me The Look (you know the one...). I know I sound like an obsessed little kid, but I haven't been to Disney in TEN YEARS (as a matter of fact, our trip will be exactly ten years, to the day, since I have been), and I have NEVER eaten in a WDW restaurant of any type (and I plan to eat myself into a coma since we are on DxDDP!!). So, in summary, I am going NUTS.

I'm sure this anticipation is fairly common, but sometimes I feel like I'm overreacting (i.e. obsessively checking and rechecking over the packing list, spazzing slightly because our packet is not here yet, watching WDW YouTube clips over and over, putting countdowns on my desktop AND iPod, etc).

How do you stifle the anticipation and pass time when the trip is thisclose??? Any tips/ suggestions will surely make this wait easier for me to bear, and will likely also ensure that I will not spend the next month with my mouth duct taped shut. Lol.

Edited to add: Yes, I AM cheating on my actual # of days to go. Don't laugh!!!!! (cause I KNOW some of you do this, too!!).

I don't know what to tell you but I'm there with ya! My dh also gives me the look all the time, but I keep telling him that without me and my obsession we would be staying off site, paying to eat (got a free dining pin), and getting to the parks and not knowing what to do!

What I've been doing lately is emailing myself all the things I find that I want to tell dh (we work opposite hours so only see each other a few hours a day so talk alot by email) and compile them for a few days (if I can hold off that long) then send him an email with all the info we reads it when he gets home and then when he gets up/I get home we have special Disney Themed time, this is the only time I'm allowed to talk about Disney :sad1:

My kids tend to get the brunt of my obsession! They have had alot of say in our trip since I tend to bounce ideas of them, but my 7 yo ds has taken to asking me if I'm done lol. Them and my mom who is going with us and it's her first trip in 30 yrs! She lets me do all the planning but will listen to me talk about it for hours!

I don't know how I'm going to get through the next 4 weeks.

The only problem with cheating on your days is that the calander never cheats with you!!!!

We have friends going with us and I send them text's every couple days with the count down!!! I am just under 6 weeks out and am going nuts. Have not started to pack yet though have started going through kids clothes and my clothes (the worst!!), need to start actually packing and buying things like sun block and such!!

We are in the same boat as we have 39 days left. The kids are literally bouncing off the walls.

We try to feed our Disney fix a little each day. I recorded all of the Disney shows on the History Channel (Modern Marvels, Behind the Scenes), Travel Channel (Samantha Brown), and FLN (What you get for the money) and the kids and I watch a one of the shows each day. Yes, we have seen them many times but it still helps to gets us through the last month (or 39 days in our case).

My youngest LOVES the parades...we watch them on youtube every night!!!
I can't wait to get their for him to see them in person again....he doesn't want to do anything else...just parades...and people watch!!!

You're allowed to be spazzy! :-) You are, afterall, going to the Happiest Place on Earth!! I don't know how you did it for 9 months! We didn't decide until January that we were going- and now I only have 1 week and 6 days! EEK! I eat/sleep Disney! Everytime I open my mouth to my kids, family or hubby- it's something about the trip! I am on here CONSTANTLY- and that helps- as well as listening to the disney theme park/ride music on Live365! ha ha RELAX- it will be here sooooo soon! I am killing my husband, because I told him I was a little sad it was almost here- because then it would be over and part of the fun is the anticipation of it getting here! I know- I'm a freak! lol:yay:

I'm going nuts...I keep checking the crowd calendar and then the weather reports, LOL.

I'm been a looney here at work because I can't get nothing done. I keep thinking about things I have to pack or stuff I still need to get. I've been wearing my crocs cleo's at work too breaking them in, etc, LOL.

ummmm, hellooo? I can TOTALLY RELATE. Seems like the look from the husbands is a pretty common thing around here!:lmao: Even when I am done researching, I am looking for stuff to research.:rotfl2:

P.S...I know she does not hang out at these boards so I am going to say it:

Dear best friend:

I am very upset at the fact that you are not as excited as I am about going to Disney. Whenever I ask you something about the trip, you act as if I was talking about a trip to the supermarket. Liven up. WE ARE GOING TO DISNEY WORLDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!:banana:

AHHHHH, that felt good!:thumbsup2

I am a little over a month away too. Most of the time I post on here to keep me busy. I have also made a trip folder with dividers to hold all of my information on the resort, park hours, dinner reservations, etc. I have also made out lots of different park touring plans. When I feel like I just can't wait to get there, I add things to my folder or I will adjust my touring plans. This way I get the joy of planning my disney trip, and the rest of my family doesn't get sick of hearing me. lol:goodvibes

We are leaving one month from today...an yet no mickey mail? Just wondering when you guys got your Mickey Mail!? All this waiting is driving me nuts! My Husband is getting bored with watching the Disney World DVD, we watch it once a week since Christmas! haha:banana::cool1:

How can anyone get sick of the Disney DVD? :confused3 lol

I think you only get Mickey Mail if you have a package plan or if you are using ME. If you booked room only, you might not get any. It doesn't seem very fair. Room only people need luggage tags too!!

Did you book yourself or with TA? Ours will be delivered to our TA and then we have to go pick it up...she said about 3 weeks out so I have about 2 more weeks to go :(

I feel your pain:hug: It seems like such a short time ago I was planning my ADRs so I would be ready the morning of 180 days. We booked in October for a May 27th trip. Now that it's only 46 days, I eat, breathe, sleep WDW:love: I am torn between feeling like I don't have enough time to get everything done to be ready for the trip and wanting it to hurry up and get here:confused3

My DH gives me the look too, but he also ackowledges the fact that my planning pays off big time. My DD7 and I are usually the ones yappin' about the mouse:thumbsup2 I love that she is old enough to help me plan this time.

I'm with you! I've reached the almost-panic stage - what am I forgetting??? :rotfl: I think when you go frequently, you start to take things for granted and start forgetting...eek :scared1: A little over a month out, and between now and then is going to be so packed with things to do non-Disney related, I worry about getting it all done...of course, being busy makes the time go faster, but not fast enough

I am so ready to get this vacation started. But, part of the fun is planning it. I still have 40 days to go. But, I sometimes make my packing list about 10 times to kill the time. I go over all the dining options and snack options that I may want while I am there. And I go over our itinerary about 1000 times to make sure I don't want to add any more to it. OOOOOOHHHHH, I can't wait to be there. Just being on the way there will be good for me!

Hmm...

Hello my ticker is still 3 + months out and I am right where you are... I am freaking out over here....surely I will end up duct taped and in a room of Disney themed padded walls soon....:dance3::dance3:

I still have a few things to keep me busy but my problem is getting everything together and waiting on $$$ to get those things ....I am starting up my WDW Trip basket this weekend and making a list of all the things I need.....if pay day would ever get here....gessh it normally doesn't feel like it takes that long but man this month is just crawling....

think its bad now wait unitl the night before...that always gets me....

Oh, the wait is so painful! I have 19 days left, and it is KILLING me! I am a list/goal oriented person, so I made myself a list of goals to achieve before this trip to distract myself, but with positive outcomes:
Train DS (11 months at time of trip) to sit quietly in the stroller for long walking periods- check!
Train DS to nap in the stroller- check!
Get DS off of bottles and onto sippy/straw cups (needed to do this anyway...)- CHECK!! (this one was hard!)
Lose 10 lbs- half a check:guilty:. Six pounds lost, four to go (I've still got time!)
Train myself to be able to push double stroller with two kids and combined weight of 85 lbs (kids + stroller weight) for two miles without passing out- check! :rotfl:

I had no goals with DD- this is her fourth trip and she knows the drill. ;) She's good and ready to go! :thumbsup2

The only goal with DH is to get him excited about the trip- check! The trick is youtube videos of the rides, playing music from the parks, and talking about all of the food and snacks we'll be eating.

At least I'm in the teens now. All I have to do now is write up my packing list and pack! :cool1:

Lol so funny, for last couple weeks,my WIFE has been giving me the same look you guys Husbands have been give you.We are a month out NOW she is getting excited. We ahve it paid off and money saved for trip!! We just got our mickey mail with our luggage tags yesterday. She loved that. Last night we printed off ADR's and made a folder. We have our custom maps. We are so ready and excited!! I cant contain myself. The closer I get the more I come on wdwinfo each day. I think I check the forums now 5-10 times a day,,LOL Im ready!! We ordered shirts off disneystore.com when they come in we will start packing. We are going to find glowsticks and disney stuff at dollarstores later this week. We had to tell my 4 y/o WDW was closed and Mickey Mouse would call him, to let him know WDW is now open. He was asking us everyday, all day are we leaving. Sorry for the lil white lie,,LOL I have postcards on the way, we cant wait!!!
