How do you greet people?

I've been meaing to ask this for awhile.. what better time than right before i go to bed

For me, it depends on who I'm talking to. If it's a friend I say "hooooowdy" and hold the 'o' out a little bit, but if it's like a teacher I just say "Hello"
And how do you wave? My friend does that wiggle-ie finger wave and I think that looks weird. I shake my whole hand and forearm (usually left) back and forth really fast.. almost like I'm spazzing or something.

Weird question, but I'm curious.

If it's the first time I've seen that person that day (usually at work) I'll say Happy (whatever day it is) - or I say hello, hi, or hey -- depending on relationship with the person.

I usually say good morning, afternoon etc along with their name.

If it's someone I know on an informal basis, I'll say something like, "Hey, how ya doin'?" or "Hey, whassup?" If it's a little more of a formal relationship, I'll say, "Hi there, how are you?" or "Hello, how are you doing?"

As for a wave, I guess I just do a hand wave at the wrist.

depends on who it is and what time it is LOL...in the morning at work if I happened to meet someones eye I will either just nod to them or say hi...if not then I just continue on my way without saying doing anything.....friends I will say hi, whats up...stuff like that.
