How do you get the luggage tags?

we have a trip in a month and our friends just received their MBs. There were no luggage tags in the box. We haven't gotten ours yet. Are there certain criteria you have to meet to get the tags?

Extra stuff comes separate from the bands around the 30 day marker and you need to have a package booked.

I feel like they took those holographic luggage tags out awhile ago, but could be wrong since we don't book packages anymore.

well you only get complimentary luggage tags if you booked a vacation package so if you booked a room only you won't receive any.

also they don't come with the magic bands.

they generally come with the vacation package coupon booklet.

You have to book an entire package with Disney so tickets and room. They are called magic your way packages.

Did you guys lift up the magic bands? If you booked a package and not just rooms then they luggage tags are in the box under the magicbands.

you do still get complimentary luggage tags if you book a package.

They now put the luggage tags in the MB box l. The new ones are now based on your magic band color and are heavier duty like the ones they send for Disneyland packages.

Ok - they have a room only the first night and then a package so I bet the next box will have them. We have APs so we have room only booked. I guess that means we are out of luck :-(

The new luggage tags that come with your magic bands is only if you booked a package through the Walt Disney Travel Company or a TA that books through them, you should get them. The colors of the luggage tags correspond with the magic band colors you choose. For guests checking in Sept 29th and after. If you booked room only then that is probably why.
