How do you get the cheap flights out of BUF

I am traveling to Disney in May and am trying desperately to keep my flight prices to a bare minimum. YYZ taxes are astronomical!

So, I have been searching through BUF but I am definately not getting the great rates that I see posted here. I can get $64.19 per flight on the outbound but $149 coming back. I want to leave on the 23rd on May and return on June 2. I have tried all dates within a week out for the return but nothin. Southwest seems to be a good bet, but I still get a better price through expedia.ca.

Any ideas!

Heather

Download the Ding application from the Southwest Website. When a special comes out they notify your computer with a Ding. Then you can purchase the discounted tickets through this application. Good Luck, I know that there has been some Dings for Buffalo to Orlando the past few months for the time period you will be going.

Yes - Ding is the answer you are looking for.

We are going may 19th to the 28th and I paid $870 for 8 flights out of buffalo.

I have been checking Southwest and will watch here for DING. I can't install DING at work but I will install on my computer at home and watch for it over the weekend.

We are hoping to stay at CBR, any ideas on how to get the best deal?

Another low cost is Air Tran, all their flights connect through Atlanta though.

If you're willing to drive another hour each way, AirTran has direct flights out of Rochester to Orlando and the airport parking is cheaper, too.

With the OP's exact dates I'm able to get a fare of $196.20 US tax inc. on Air Tran from Buffalo to Orlando. I'd be quite happy to book with prices like that.

OP - if you are DING! obsessed like me, you can get instructions from DISrs on howto download DING! at work so that you can access even through a firewall. I can't remember how to do it, but I am sure if you post on the Transportation forum someone will help you.

SWA just had a seat sale that ended last Monday. My May trip was booked at $110 USD return (using a ding 2 months ago)...my June trip $139 USD return with the seat sale.

you have to check 3 or 4 times a day the prices are all over the place we paid $45.00 EACH WAY FOR MAY 23 TO JUNE 2 we paid as little as 21 for each way with ding in feb last year

I downloaded DING but I don't think I did it right!!! It asks me for Airport Zip Code and Registration #??? I put Buffalo Airport but don't have zip code and have no idea reg #. PLEASE HELP ME!!!! LOL!!! thanks!!!

I am also a big Ding fan - it can be tricky to get those deals though, especially if you only check it in the evening after work. Some of the deals end by 8:00 p.m.

I am a "bit" of a Disney Fanatic - Was there April 2005, July 2005, October 2005, March 2006 and am going again in May 2006 over the long weekend - Thursday to Monday.

In my search for cheap accomodations and flights we tried the Ding thing - this time I was not able to get it. However, Expedia had a package flying out of Toronto on AA, including 4 nights at POP Century,ME for $600 including taxes, hotel and airfare. I have an AP so I don't have to worry about that.

Good luck

Hey Denise, I'll be there from the Thursday to the Monday as well. Going down with some girlfriends, staying offsite and going to the park one day on the weekend. We got a DING fare out of Buffalo for $49 each way, back in February.
