Once the sun starts to set, you will feel a noticeable drop in temp. The hottest part of the day tends to be between 2-5pm. I try to always wear a hat, and at the worst temps I have been known to wet a paper towel (cold water and not super drippy) and place it on my head under the hat. Also, bathing your wrists with cold water can help. I'm ultra sensitive to heat, so In addition to these things I bring a small battery operated fan (I have to use a scooter so I have a place to store it, but it's really lightweight so could go in a backpack). You can also find some nice shade in the Grizzly Peaks area.
