How do you get from WL to monorail resorts for 7:30 a.m. character meals?

I'm trying to figure out if I should rent a car. Someone told me at the WL, that there's a special character breakfast bus that takes you straight to Poly or Grand Floridian. CRO denies any such thing. I called WL back and that person said the bus takes you to the TTC or MK, then you have to get on the monorail. Then, CRO says none of the busses will run until one hour prior to park opening. WHO DO YOU BELIEVE????? I really want a hassle free trip, but I didn't want to rent a car. Any suggestions? Thanks!

You can take the boat from WL to either MK or CR. I believe if I'm not mistaken the CR boat starts running earlier. From either one you can pick up the monorail. I'm not sure though how early the boats run.

I will go ahead and post your question on the WL FAQ board on the top of the resorts board although you might need to indicate exactly when you are going.

May I suggest if you have any more questions regarding anything with WL, to post on that thread because it has the best information anywhere! 999ghsts can answer most question addressed about the resort and it's amenities, transportation, etc. It's really Sooooo helpful!

Don't hold me to this but ...

When we had a PS for 8am in MK, we were at the WL and were told to take the bus to TTC. The bus picked us up, the driver asked the passsengers where we were all going (mostly Crystal Palace and Cindy's) and he took us directly to the front of MK.

If anyone had announced CR or Poly I think he would have taken them directly there as well.

They have an early bus that runs just to get people to their breakfasts. If you ask at check-in, they'll make sure you get there.

When we scheduled an early tour, we were supposed to be at MK by 7:45. We were told to go to CR to park and then take the monorail to MK. I think that was because the MK lot wasn't even open yet. If we hadn't had our own car, they told us we could catch the breakfast bus to get us to CR.
