???? how do you get an upgrade??????

I have read about people getting an upgrade at resorts. Is it something you ask for when you check in or is it something that is offered to you???? I would love to try and get one. any suggestions???? or experiences of how you got yours????

Honestly I think it's just luck. Only one I can remember getting was just given to us, a pleasant surprise (garden to water view). I also think sometimes people get them when somehow the room category they actually booked is unavailable and so they get bumped up to a higher category - but Disney doesn't present it that way - it's just "pixie dust".

Just my theory but I'm wishing us all good luck and hope it happens!

You might want to do a search on this. It was discussed earlier this week. It doesn't happen as often as it seems here on the DIS.
