How do you find out when special crowds will be there?

I'm reading posts about football players, cheerleaders, et al and am wondering how can you plan to avoid such groups? Is there a listing somewhere of conventions/groups booked for Disney? I am planning a trip for next year and would like to factor that in to our decision. Thanks.

I use touringpalns DOT com. Look to the left of the main page and click on Crowd levels/predicitons. Towards the bottom of that page is a calendar which includes special event days.

You can check the schedule at Disney's Wide World of Sports and see if any events are occuring there. That might be a good indicator.
