How do you change your IP address

As far as I know it is not the IP address that gets banned.
Try uninstalling Macromedia Shockwave player then reinstalling it from Macromedia's web site.
Each installation gives you a new serial number for Shockwave.
My daughter's character is still banned for ten years but she was able to create a new one and start over.

thats right.. from about 3 day before my nanoer ban vmk had a new ban type.. they banned your hardware.. which is to say your hard drive..

also his ban is only 30 days not 10 years..

How can they ban your hardware?? They would have to come into your house and open your system and physically do something to your hardware/hard drive OR literally hack into your system and do something to the hard drive which would be illegal. I am betting it is a shockwave ban as mentioned before.

Actually they can ban your MAC address which is assigned to your hardware. That is just as good as knocking on your door.

nope i did the shockwave change thing twice.. there are two ip address or at least on my computer.. one is the one that identifies my computer and the other is the one that my internet gives me... because i checked my ip using a proxy and it still showed i had the same ip.. so yeah

My daughter was banned for some minor infraction for "one week", but for some reason the year was set to 2016.
At first we did not notice it until the week was up.
She could not log on at all with her old character or create a new one.
For about a month I sent e-mails to the BLACK HOLE with no results.
We were visiting a friend and my daughter used my laptop to try VMK on their network.
She could not use her old character but could create a new one which she could not use back at home on her computer but could on my laptop.
Since my network has the same IP address (that the world sees) for all computers on it. That could not be the problem.
I saw a post where someone suggested it might be a Shockwave ID.
I remove all of Shockwave then downloaded and reinstalled.
Although she still can't use her original character, she can now play with a new one on VMK again.
