I was planning to use a backpack inside the park, but I can't fit everything into one bag...what do you guys use?

We are traveling with 1 & 3 year old....

So we have...

diapers
wipes
fans
toys
drinks
snacks
photo matte
markers
extra outfits for emergency

Ive fit it into two...but wondering what everyone else does?

I always use my diaper bag for the normal diaper bag stuff, but I bring my own stroller so I can stuff it in the basket underneath. Then I use a small backpack that I keep anything valuable in so that is all I have to take with me on the rides. It is really almost empty just my I.D., debit card, and usually the autograph book and pen (It is easier for grabbing than digging through a diaper bag. Try to take as little as possible in with you. Obviously with kids your age that is harder to do. I also have a diaper changer pad that holds the wipes and a few diapers that can attach to the outside of the bag so that makes it easier too. I can easily grab that to take with me to the bathroom.

Something I found useful when traveling with my little guy on our last two Disney trips (when he was 2 1/2 and 3 1/2) was having a stroller organizer on the back of our stroller. I don't see ours on amazon.com anymore, but it's similar to this one:
http://www.amazon.com/Childress-Cargo-Stroller-Organizer-Black/dp/B000X2HC9W/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1398102526&sr=8-6&keywords=stroller+organizer

Ours has two soft cup holders by the top and a mesh bag hanging down. Into the mesh bag went a pile of diapers, a pack of wipes, and an empty straw-style sippy cup for mealtimes. I also kept a little baggie with bandaids and ointment in the mesh bag. I kept just one or two diapers/wipes in my bag in case I needed to do a quick change without access to the stroller, but having the bulk of the supplies there kept my bag a lot lighter!

It helped that my little guy didn't need much by way of toys when in the parks, but of course, you know your kids best. He was so interested in the busy-ness all around us, that he didn't kick up much of a fuss at any point and rarely needed a distraction. I did keep something small tucked away for quiet moments at restaurants, so he'd sit still and wait for a meal more patiently.

As for the rest, you could look into getting a larger backpack - they make some seriously big ones - so everything fits in one.

This ^. I always carry a backpack but try to keep it manageable. Stuff a bunch of stuff under the stroller. We use the lockers at the front of the park if we need to bring things like extra clothes or heavy stuff that I don't want to lug around if its not likely to be used. Only downside is you won't need that stuff at all until you are as far from the front of the park as possible :)

I use small mesh packing cubes made by Rick Steves (Amazon sells sets of them) and divide everything by use. I keep them under the stroller.

In one, I put all of the "food" items, including bibs, snacks, spoons, etc. In another, I put all of the "diaper" items, including wipes, diapers, purell, etc. I also have one "miscellaneous" cube for hats, sunblock, etc.

Keeps things *really* helpfully organized (and it keeps things pretty well out of sight from would-be thieves). Time for a bathroom break = just pull out the packing cube! Time for lunch = pull out the other packing cube!

I do not bring a diaper bag, since it is too heavy to carry around all day. I just bring a cross-body purse and put my own items in it (wallet, phone, etc). It's a bit of reverse thinking for Disney (since I usually only use my diaper bag when I'm doing my daily activities), but using the storage under the stroller works well!

I rarely take fewer than 3 bags for a day at DLR. One cooler (we pack in lunch and snacks), one diaper bag, and the "extras" bag - extra clothes, jackets, glow sticks, etc. The diaper bag gets carried or hung on the stroller, the other bags go below. I am NOT a light packer, I prefer to have whatever I might need. :)

I have a 2 year old DD and we go to the parks usually once a week. I use a backpack and it carries our diapers (we use BumGenius Cloth diapers), wipes, water bottles/sippy cup, snacks/food, change of clothes, sunscreen, sunglasses, wallet, medicine, camera, etc. I carry a spare 'wet' bag for our soiled diapers, and if I bring my daughter a Princess costume to change into, I have it in a hanger with a black trash bag over it and then stash the bag and hanger into the bottom of the stroller while she's wearing the costume. Baggage check can be a pain, but it's nice to have everything with me at any moment I need it. It took me a while to find the perfect backpack, but I finally did and it's fabulous because it has plenty of different zippered sections and even two insulated spots for the sippy cups/water bottles. :thumbsup2

DD doesn't require much gear nowadays but when she was an infant/toddler I had a tim & leslie Charlie bag that I loved. It came with a ton of accessories (wet pouch, etc), the interior had numerous elasticized pockets, and it looked like a handbag. I was easily able to fit all of my park necessities (wallet, sunscreen, makeup, etc) in there as well as hers (bottle/sippy, clothing change, diapers, wipes, the kitchen sink).

If you are bringing a stroller, I usually use the baggalini messenger backpack and put diapers, wipes, a change of clothes, sweatshirt, extra sunscreen, a couple of snacks etc and leave it in the bottom of the stroller. the I carry the vera bradley little hipster ( i think thats what its called) cross body bag which holds credit cards, money, camera, small sunscreen, a few wipes and some small toys for a moments notice and anything else that I might want to access easily.

we went do WDW when my kids were 1 and 3. when my kids were that little I had two bags. One bag was always on my shoulder (diaper bag)..had the camera, tickets, id's,money, kids snacks, a water bottle, wipes, sanitizer, phones, 1 diaper, travel size diaper wipe, travel size advil, and anything else that was valuable.

the other bag was left under the stroller the whole time, which included, water/juice, more diapers, extra clothes, bottles/sippy cups,..anything else that can be replaced within the park if it gets stolen.

It is alot to carry when they are young but its not horrible..my kids are now 3 and 5 and its gotten a lot easier not having to carry around diapers ,extra clothes and bottles/sippy cups.

Not to say things don't get stolen, but for the most part, you can leave the basics (diapers, extra clothes) in the bottom of the stroller all day. If someone does take them, they can easily be replaced. It saves you from having to carry multiple bags on rides when you have your hands full of littles. :goodvibes

I use my ds large backpack from Pottery Barn Kids. It fits all our necessities for 2 little kids plus my belongings.

I also have 2 Britax cup holder caddy's on my dbl stroller so it fits up to 4 drink cups. And I take advantage of stroller storage for things I could care less about.

One tip I got - hop the train to the front of the park. Gives you a bit of a break and gets you right near the lockers! The train stops at 4 different areas of the park, I believe.

Also, I have one of the healthy back bags. I don't have tiny ones with diapers, etc, but I've gotten 2 pr shoes, an Ariel dress, my phone, water bottles, tiny first aid kit, camera and miscellaneous in it and it is only about you can throw a few in your bag and put others in your locker. I have the medium which is 19" long: see http://www.ameribag.com/sizing.html

this bag has saved me a million times! Also, if you get a gallon size zip lock and squeeze out the air like a space bag you can get an out fit in there and it will take up a lot less space!

I assume you are bringing a stroller. In our stroller days I would put extra clothes, wipes, etc. in a cloth Target reusable grocery type bag and leave it in the bottom of stroller. Basically anything that wasn't a true valuable or needed at all times went in that bag. To carry I prefer crossbody bags. Backpacks for me get too hot.

When DD was smaller I used this.

Now that she is older and I am trying to trim down the stuff we carry I use this.

Both have been great bags for the price!

Bigger backpack. With a 1 and 3 yr old you will be having a stroller right? Maybe add a backpack carrier for the 1 yr old and use the kids stroller spot for additional cargo space as the situation demands it.

I use a semi-rigid internal frame backpack. It's about 25% larger than a standard adult/teen school backpack. The internal frame supports the load and distributes it nicely to my shoulders and hips (important part the hips).

I roll into the World with a whole lot of gear. I have anxiety issues and being prepared for some rather absurd emergencies is a 'thing' of mine.
