Our kids are far removed from the stroller now and we've always been used to keeping all our stuff in it. How do you all carry around the stuff you'll need all day without it hindering you on rides and just be an all around nuisance? Any suggestions would be appreciated as we're leaving in 2 days! Thanks!

me and the gf usually take a small backpack. liek verty small and light and something that wont hold too much heat. we usually only put teh camera, water bottles and small stuff in it. wallet stays in my pocket:)

Check out the thread Best bag for WDW. It is also on the DW tips. It has lots of really good ideas and even some links of bags to order. I have been tempted to order the overland placer. REI has it reduced. :thumbsup2

Our kids are getting out of the stroller also. We use a regular backpack. On most rides you can fit it into the netting on the seat in front of you. You can put your camera, money, etc in it.

Also, if you buy items in the park you can have it sent to the front of the park and pick it up on your way out. If you are on Disney property you can have it sent back to your resort. We have found this to be great and you don't have to keep up with it.

Hope that helps.

and kids 12, 9 & 7---and NO bag!:cool1:

DH wore cargo shorts; he carried everyone's cards in his wallet; camera went in one pocket; cell phone in another; sunscreen wipes in a baggie in another.

I carried my schedule in one pocket; stomach meds in another.

THAT IS IT! We had NO need for anything else....EXCEPT we took ponchos to AK as it was cool that day & we wanted to ride Kali; DS12 wore his cargoes that day, and had the 6 ponchos in various pockets.

That is the ONLY way to travel!

Good tip KKB. I forgot all about that. I have cargo shorts and this past summer I would wear those and I had my video camera, passes, camera, sunglasses, my cell phone, my wife's phone, and money in the pockets on my shorts. We could go through the entrance with out bags line. It was really nice not to have to go through the line to have your bag searched.

We just started doing that this year, so I completly forgot about doing that. If you can, this is definately the way to go in my opinion.

Our family carries our stuff in bags from Disney World. Just small backpacks. Sunscreen, money, phone... Depending on when we're going, or what the weather's like, ponchos and jackets.

I have a small purse that has a long handle so it can go across my body. It is probably about 8" high and 6" across. It is a Vera Bradley bag...I forget the style name. I am so not into schlepping a lot of stuff to the parks. Basically I carry glasses, ID, park pass, room key, Advil, Tylenol, Rolaids.

I hate having to carry anything, not just a WDW, but anywhere! I don't carry a purse now, so I really don't want to have to buy one for our trip in Feb. Since it will probably be chilly, I plan to get a jacket with lots of pockets, and forget about any purse or bag. And I will make sure my husband and daughter have pockets too--I want to spread the load!

I carry a bag that has all of our "stuff" in it. I like Jansport's Sling, smaller than a backpack, functional, and comfortable! :thumbsup2 I try to pack light but there are meds, inhalers, Tylenol, hand sanitizer wipes, sunscreen, "girl stuff", and a camera I just can't live without! :goodvibes The sling can be carried with the small handle or slung over your shoulder!

I just got a sling backpack for the trip. We have a toddler -- so that means I need to carry diapers, wipes, and an extra pair of clothes for him. And, I figure, in the evening I'll carry his jacket and mine. DD & DH can carry their own "warmies"

I usually take a small backpck, but sometimes a larger one. It depends on the weather. If it's colder or going to rain, I use the bigger backpack to hold ponchos/sweatshirts, etc. I also put my digital camera in a ziplock baggie (and also bring a couple of extra baggies for my cell phone, etc) before I put hem int the backpack so thy will say dry if it rains or on the rides that you can get wet on. :thumbsup2

I carry a regular size backpack, plus wear a fanny pack. The fanny pack contains MY stuff - sunglasses, chapstick, mini sunscreen, credit cards, license, money, camera and the like. The backpack contains everything for the kids - light jackets or sweatshirts, long pants if they're wearing shorts and the temps for the evening will be a lot lower, ponchos if the forecast calls for them, snacks, wipes, a towel, sunscreen, water bottles, bandaids, aspirin and stuff like that. Sometimes I feel like a pack mule, but we always use all that stuff, so it makes sense to me to carry it. I just take it on the rides with me and it's not a big deal.

I just got a large bag that can be worn as a messenger bag or you double up the strap and its is a normal over the shoulder purse. I got it at Old Navy. And most importantly...it fits my Disney binder perfectly!
